Ministers meet with Hotel owners 2011-06-15 Vera Kobalia, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development and Kakha Baindurashvili, Finance Minister met with hotel owners earlier this afternoon. Georgia is expecting an unprecedented number of tourists to arrive over this summer season. The demand mainly comes on 2 and 3 star hotels. The Georgian government calls on the business sector representatives to invest in middle-size hotels. The government has already created free tourist zones across the Black Sea, which offers favorable conditions for businesspersons. The businessmen will be free from income and property taxes for 15 years. The land will be handed over free-of-charge. The government will provide arrangement of communication systems and will ensure infrastructure development.
